Taking a Break & Latest News!

 I'm taking a short break here from reborning, well kinda... My sister just had her first baby a little over a week ago and I was supposed to be 100% finished with e-mails, painting,custom orders, eBay babies, ect. For the exception of one last custom order and listing my Jayden for sale on eBay this week. However it's been a stressful week with e-mails and catching up that I need to just take a time out and enjoy my new nephew and my boys all together. They only stay little for so long. :(

NEWS:

My focus will be on my VGG dolls (Victorian Gothic Glam Dolls) here and opening up a new Etsy.com store dedicated to my oddity of work. I am working on 5 new faces starting next week with my LDC air dry paints, with another replica of Wednesday Addams (almost finished as of today) I love these paints, they give me the exact look I want and I can just keep painting with no baking. Love it!

Don't worry to those who are not fans of the VGG Dolls, I have new kits coming in the next couple of weeks, like Marita Winters Zinny & Chicklet kits! Yea!

New Victorian-Gothic-Glam Reborn Dolls Coming Soon...

 

To answer lots of e-mails, yes I am working on some new babies for the VGG series! I have been very busy with custom orders this past 3 months, trying to finish my two toddlers and my Jayden kit by the end of this month before my sister has her first baby. I want to be able to take time off to help her out as much as possible the first few weeks, since we all know how tired we get with a newborn! 

So my VGG babies have sadly been put aside. The good news is, they will be more of my focus in the up coming months. I absolutely love re-boring my beautiful life like gorgeous babies, but I really love creating these VGG art dolls just a tad bit more. It's a true creative outlet with some originality for me. It's been on my mind strongly to go in this direction for months, I just have not 100% jumped in. They are just as beautiful as my other babies, and of course I will still continue to bring them to life, just not as many. 

The difference between the two? My VGG babies have very light pale skin, generally with big deep set eyes and dark black hair with fantastic eyebrows. I plan to venture out with different bold hair colors one day. It makes me happy that I am not setting any rules on how they "should" look, but from my own creative mind. Still lifelike in every way with mottling ect. With a realistic reborn, I have to follow rules to make them as real looking as possible. It's fun to work on both, that is for sure. I truly love what I do.

 

These three babies Wednesday, V & Elvie have all been adopted/sold, but I have some fantastic new kits that will become apart of this series starting next month. I'm sure I'll  be blogging about them as I go..... 

 I am always on the look out for costume designers (since I have not learned to sew yet lol) who can also see my vision on the way I want them dressed. I have been lucky enough to work with Vera with Vera Doll Couture  who has hand sewn these three gorgeous dresses just from an Idea I have had. If you make funky, victorian, steam punk style clothes, and think you would like to work with me. Feel free to contact me! It's basically free promotion for your work and I like to help everyone I can out with their own form of art.

Brandon Boyd "The Wild Trapeze" Solo Album New Release!

As you may or may not know I am a huge Incubus fan. Iv been able to see them live a couple of times and even met them last year around this time. I like to donate some of my proceeds of my own art work from my VGG dolls to the Make Your Self Foundation. I own some of his art, originals I wish but they are signed. Anyways, Brandon Boyd has come out with a solo album which you all should get! I can't stop listening to it. Even more exciting news is Incubus is going back into the studio for another album.. :) So far "Courage and Control" is one of my favorites on the album, probably because it's just an acoustic guitar, piano and a gorgeous voice. I wish I wrote it.... The drums in all of these songs are phenomenal. You can click on  the picture below if you would like to order!

10" Mini Reborn Pratt Babies!

   These sweethearts are from "Byron" & "Emma" kits by Denise Pratt. They make 10" mini babies and are just adorable! I renamed them Mary (sleeper) & Molly (awake). They have beautiful custom made outfits and gorgeous painted hair. Please take a peek!
